Customer supplied Serial Number issued

Manage customer-supplied serial numbers in a dedicated CSI table and automatically assign the next available serial number to eligible manufactured items.

This solution stores customer serial numbers by item and customer. When a qualifying manufactured item is assigned a serial number on a Job Order, the system automatically selects the next unused serial number from the table and marks it as used. Users do not manually choose the serial number.

After assignment, standard CSI and SyteLine serial number tracking continues to apply.

Supported Process

Customer Serial Number Table

Authorized users can maintain the following fields:

• Item
• Serial Number
• Customer

The Used flag is controlled by the system. Access to the table can be restricted through CSI user permissions.

If the Job Order item is not included in the customer-supplied serial number item list, standard SyteLine serial number assignment processes remain unchanged.
